"We understand that everyone is different, so we will adapt our services to meet your individual needs"

Oakwood Care Centre provides 24-hour person centred care and support to people ages 65 and over.

Residential Care

Residential care is for people who are having difficulty managing on their own at home, with or without support, and still wish to maintain a degree of independence, yet have the peace of mind that someone is there to help at any time they need it.

Residential care may be perfectly suitable for you if you prefer the company of other residents and wish to develop new friendships with like minded people. We can arrange trial visits, short term breaks (sometime known as respite care) or long term (permanent) placements; the choice is yours.

Dementia Care

Our care team are experienced in providing specialist help and support to people with dementia or dementia related conditions such as Alzheimer's disease. We offer a sensitive and understanding approach to people with dementia and provide a variety of activities and therapy sessions which help to stimulate memory and natural thought processes through sensory expression. We also provide help and support to people with a physical disability, sensory impairment (hearing or vision), incontinence, communication and speech and language difficulties.

"You can do as little or as much as you want... It's your choice"

At Oakwood Care Centre, we encourage you to make your own decisions and choices about how you spend your time. We have a variety of engaging activities for you to get involved in, not only in the home but also in the local community.

We are also able to arrange in-house services and facilitated such as; hairdressing, chiropody/podiatry, physiotherapy, community nursing, G.P visits and alternative therapies.

"Being small has it's advantages... It's your home from home"

Oakwood Care Centre is advantageous over many other care homes because we offer a smaller, more presonal care setting which helps our residents to become more familiar and at ease with their surroundings.

We have 16 tastefully presented rooms (some en-suite), all of which are fully furnished, spacious and decorated to a very high standard, creating a warm and welcoming environment throughout. This said, you are more than welcome to bring along some of your own furniture where possible and make your own room personal to you.
