What People Say

Testimonials

I am honestly overwhelmed at how kind and attentive Oakwood Care Centre are with Dad. You have treated him with humility and respect, never treating him like a ‘patient’. Dad is a very shy, private man and the team have gained his trust, speaking with him as an equal and taking time to talk to him and listen to what he has to say. Sadly, I think he will always struggle to accept his situation, but thankfully you recognise his needs differ from those of many other of your residents and readily treat him as an individual, going above and beyond to address his many medical issues. Thanks for putting my mind at ease, I am more grateful than you will ever know.

Oakwood Care Centre have been caring for my parents for over 14 months now. Dad, 94 and Mum, 88 both have dementia. They are both happy with the care provided by the staff. The COVID-19 pandemic has been difficult, trying to communicate through the window but the care home has recently provided an indoor facility that is safe and makes communication easier. They also have WhatsApp groups where they send information and photos of activities. It’s a big relief knowing my parents are safe and cared for at Oakwood Care Centre.

Since my uncle got a placement at Oakwood Care Centre, all worry and stress about his care have now gone. The staff are extremely caring, compassionate and go well beyond their duties, they really do exceed all expectations in all aspects of care. Relatives are constantly updated on their loved ones well being, which means so much, especially in the current situation that we all find ourselves in. The home is so well led, and there is always plenty of staff on duty. Thanks to you all at Oakwood Care Centre, i can sleep peacefully at night knowing that my uncle is safe and so well cared for.

In the 15 months that mum has resided at Oakwood, she has received excellent care and her general well-being and happiness have improved. The staff are always friendly and treat all the residents with respect and dignity. All mum’s (Pre-COVID-19) visitors have remarked on the home’s welcoming ambience and homeliness. Various activities are arranged for those who wish to participate. The family have been very happy with the care she has received.
